YARN RESEARCH

Maglieria GZ is always researching the high-quality yarn, exploring new materials and staying up to date with new fashion trends.

Part of our craftmanship is our constant research for the best yarns on the market. We are up to date on the latest ecological yarns and fashion trends to support the creative designers’ ideas.

In fashion there are many possible knitting stitches. We look towards the fashion trends to take inspiration. Working side by side with the clients we aim to give the highest quality to the knitting collection.

A quality yarn

Maglieria GZ’s headquarter is placed in historic town of Vittorio Veneto, where we work cashmere and precious yarns to develop Italian knitwear of high quality.

We prefer to use natural yarns, like merino wool, warm and soft cotton, crepe cotton, linen and silk.

For the technical knitwear we use high performance yarns, that can be knitted in gauges from 3 to 18. They can have antibacterial and thermoregulation properties, manages evaporation, helps to transfer moisture away from the skin and keep the body cool and dry on warm days and during exercise.  Many yarns we use to knit are of organic origin and we aim to create sustainable fashions.

Is a high-quality material enough? No, it’s not enough.

The garments we create respect the clients’ expectations with regards to the final garment shrinkage. We select the most suitable solutions, given that a client’s preference for a specific style or material are sometimes not feasible.

Hands on…

We focus on weaving new relationships. We remain at the disposal of the clients to meet their requests. We have been collaborating with established spinning mills for many years. Our experience helps us in choosing and using the best yarn quality.

Researching the best and suitable yarn for the garment, is only part of the services we provide.
Once we choose the yarn, we test it during the knitting, linking, washing and dyeing processes.

After our quality assurance procedures, we confirm that the yarn meets our high standards.
